### Adobe Photoshop Touch v9.8.1.336 – For Android

The days of Photoshop as a low-end, non-professional program are over. Its toolset enables editing of images in ways that a dedicated camera couldn’t do.

Although a typical photo editor program such as Photoshop has a much larger and more complex toolset, it’s most powerful for experienced users. It does have limitations, but Photoshop can be mastered to a point where its toolset is indispensable for editing video.

To create images, its tools offer many options for image management and manipulation. Its ability to import and export files enables the creation of even the most high-end projects.

Presets can also be very useful for reusing tools. Users can configure them to be specific to a task, which is especially useful if an image is going to be modified in numerous ways.

However, Photoshop is in many ways limiting. It is also a resource hog.

Shortcomings

Color

One of the things that makes image editing something of a challenge is that Photoshop has a limited color space.

A color space is the smallest area of color that one can specify in digital image. For example, a color space might specify 5-color color space, which can specify one of 50 different colors.

When an image is created using Photoshop, it exists within a specific color space. This color space contains enough colors to produce an image with a wide range of colors.

However, when importing images from film, the colors of a shot are limited to a much smaller range, and this limits the kinds of changes that can be made.

This is not a problem with regular camera film. When a digital camera captures an image, it can access a much larger color space.

However, the images captured are limited to this color space, and this can cause some kind of corruption in a digital image. For example, highlights on a person’s face may be missing, which is known as blown highlights.

This problem can be dealt with by selecting a color from the image. Alternatively, an image could be exported with a different color space, such as “Adobe RGB,” which offers a wider color space, which will expand the highlights.

Color correction is an essential part of video editing. The camera has the capability to capture images with a more limited color range, and this limits the edits that can be performed.

Photoshop

From David C. Atkinson’s website –

Photoshop is a raster image editor designed by the Adobe Systems company. Adobe Photoshop is the current flagship product of the Adobe graphics and publishing family of products. It is the industry-standard image-editing software used for almost all kinds of image processing. It is the tool of choice for designers, architects, photographers, illustrators and graphic artists.

Since Photoshop came out, thousands of image-editing software packages have tried to be like Photoshop and that’s a good thing for everyone.

Here is my list of Photoshop alternatives.

Windows

Adobe’s Photoshop is simply the most powerful graphics program for Windows. That’s about it. No, I’m not kidding. It’s not even close. For example, it can edit not just raster images, but also vector images. It can edit very large images at very high resolutions. It has complex workflow features.

There are several really good graphical image editors like GIMP that beat Photoshop at many of these tasks.

Neat, but why use Photoshop?

Photoshop is the Swiss Army Knife of graphic software. Not that everyone needs a Swiss Army Knife, but I’m sure you’ve seen one at least once.

If you’re an amateur, you might want something that looks like Photoshop but is actually a cheaper option. Like Element Photo ($9.99). If you’re a professional, you might want something that looks like Photoshop and is actually more powerful and has more tools. Like Photoshop ($595).

If you really want a mainstream graphics editor, check out GIMP ($11.69). Or Paint.NET ($10).

Mac

Adobe’s Photoshop is the most powerful software available for Mac. It has many features, but it’s expensive. That’s why I’m going to recommend GIMP as the alternative to Photoshop.

GIMP has many of the same features as Photoshop, like layers and filters, but it’s cheaper. And it’s open source. And it works on Windows and Mac.

So while I’d say that GIMP is probably the most powerful of the alternatives to Photoshop, I’m going to recommend it because it works on both Windows and Mac, as well as on Linux, and it’s open source.

Although perhaps not truly an “expansion” of the offense, this new section (Section 4.14(c) of the rule) might well have been brought in the wake of the SOTER project, as a means to codify what was done during the SOTER project.
